The story is set in the time when Scotland was comp allowely independent from England and was ruled a monarch of kings. The play focuses on real areas in Scotland where actual kings were crowned and buried.
The Whole plot of the play is seeing the main character; Macbeth, caught up in murdering king Duncan. On his way dorsum from battle Macbeth was informed by three old witches he was going to be awarded the honour of being thane of Cordor and he would experience great king of Scotland. The witches in any case predicted Banquo, Macbeths good friend would gravel kings, i.e. his children or grand children would become kings.
Macbeth didnt think each thing of these comments until he got back from his mighty journey at which king Duncan awarded him thane of Cordor, he and Banquo were both thoroughly puzzled and let us not forget the witches predicted he would be a king.
Macbeth told his beloved wife; brothel keeper Macbeth of these incidents, lady Macbeth was over gratify with the news and said to Macbeth. You must kill the king so you may become dethroned.
Reluctant at first Macbeth did as he was told, after much bullying and belittling from maam Macbeth, it is after Macbeth has killed the king we see the first incident we chance sympathy for him.
After the kings murder Macbeth goes to Lady Macbeth, he is shake with fear and is in shock from the deeds he has committed. Macbeth is besides muttering nonsense as Lady Macbeth tries to talk around sense into him. It is at this rather shocking point in the play where we feel our first glimmer of sympathy for Macbeth because he did not originally plan to kill the king and is frightened by his actions ; he was bullied into doing the deed by Lady Macbeth. Lady Macbeth suggested she would have done the deed if King Duncan had not reminded her of her father.
