The three theories sociological theories, functionalism, conflict and symbolic interaction show up three different yet unique views and ideas about the well-disposed refuge of family. Functionalism and conflict theories contradict each other tour symbolic interaction takes the meet in the middle fire to the family structure. Those who adhere to the conflict possible action take the position that inequalities that go in society as a result of functionalism go in the home. Functionalism examines how families address their needs and contribute to society. Symbolic interaction is built on the premise that all families ar companionable groups which allows individuals to develop their own concept of self through friendly interaction with others. The three sociological theories provide succinct and various analogies of how they reach within the confines of a family group; their contrasts work in tandem to demonstrate how a societal institution known as family influences society, which in turn influences the family. II. The Fundamentalist theory examines the family group as a social institution and the      functions they perform.
