A Decision Without a weft
Decisions be a large part of life and must be made on a daily basis. As humans mature decisions become a steering bike on the road of life. Every choice made is ineluctably another fork in the road. Some choices made or rather the majority of the choices made are trivial and quotidian and rarely constitute much of a thought. There are also the big decisions in life, the onenesss that deserve true evaluation. The weighing of pros and cons, hours of thought and sought after advice. Sometimes it is a hazard and sometimes education, logic, and experience prevail. Often a situation arises in a persons life when a decision must be made and the outcome for both choices is little than favorable or detrimental. Even though there may be many options to choose, some decisions can leave one feeling like they had no choice.
Decisions are in every aspect of life. What to wear? Who to be friends with? What career to embark on? Some are important and some are relatively meaningless. There are decisions that are quite controversial and leave strickle you literally the rest of your life such as abortion.
A story by Ernest Hemingway Hills like White Elephants a couple is having a discussion about whether or not an abortion is the right choice for them. This particular decision is a worldwide subject of controversy and rest solely on the killing of a human being. Interestingly the couple in the story never mention the fact that they would be destroying a life they created, only concerned with how their choice will affect their relationship. Still another decision that comes along in roughly everyones life is the time to take a outdoor stage for or against something. This choice can really show the tone and leadership a person possesses. Two stories I lease that share this type of decision yet the different outcomes go a long way to exemplify the complexities of choices in life.
